These full-flow specialty union fittings are Sch 40 PVC Couplers with MPT (male pipe thread) onon one side with an O-ring for a perfect seal and a SLIP fitting on the other end.
Available Sizes:
- 1.5" x 1.5" (MPT x S)
- 2" x 2" (MPT x S)
- 1.5" x 2" (MPT x S)
Insert femalemale threaded Schedule 40 pipe and tighhten against the O-ring for a secure, coupled, fitting. A PVC Union allows you to adjust plumbing and piping after installation, the union is useful if you ever need to dis-assemble your plumbing for cleaning, maintenance, or to fix a drip.
A union is handy as it is easy to seal and take apart compared to a coupler - it's easier for dis-assembly, making regular maintenance + pump cleaning a breeze.
