These fittings are Sch 40 PVC Caps  with FPT (Female Pipe Thread) on the cap interior. These caps are used to stop flow on pipe ends, slip the cap on your pipe and it will be plugged. Tighten the cap threads on to Schedule 40 pipe to cap (plug) your pipe end..
