Pond Pro 2000 is liquid EPDM, the same material as EPDM pond liners but in a liquid form. It works extremely well on all non-porous concrete fountains as well as EPDM fishponds liners. Reflecting pools are another good application for EPDM. These are demanding applications where the unique properties of EPDM have a distinct advantage over other products.

Pond Pro 2000 is safe for fish and plant life as well as chlorinated water. It is resistant to oxidation and UV degradation but its most important property is its ability to tolerate both low as well as high temperatures (from minus 62 to plus 350 degrees Fahrenheit).

Tools & Equipment For Preparation & Application

Electric drill, mixer shaft, wire brush, sandpaper (60grits), spatula, paint brush.

A drill and a mixer (as shown to the left) will be needed to incorporate the catalyst. For quarts and gallons a short mixer will suffice.
The catalyst will be under the plastic lid for quarts and in the same box as the gallon pail was located when your order arrived.

Directions
Mix Pond Pro in the container until a vortex is formed.
Slowly pour all of catalyst into vortex.
Move mixer up and down and in a circular motion for 2-3 minutes until all portions of can are uniformly mixed.
Incorporate supplied catalyst using drill and mixer shaft by following label directions. Let stand for 1/2 hour before using.

Although Liquid Rubber EPDM will immediately waterproof, even when wet, avoid heavy rain until dry to the touch (16 – 20 hours after application). Pitting may occur otherwise.

A full cure will be achieved in 4 – 10 days after application, in consistent 70 deg. F. ambient temperatures. Higher temperatures will accelerate cure times and lower temperatures
will extend cure times.

Xylene or mineral spirits can be used to clean up spills or tools. Xylene can also be used for thinning, in the event that the coating becomes too thick for easy application. Pond Pro is resistant to UV and ozone and will not tear due to its very high tensile strength.
