OASE Phosless Cartridges for OASE BioTec 18-36 and also fits OASE BioTec ScreenMatic 18000-32000

The PhosLess filter cartridges are a two-component system that can be used to supplement any filter system and serves as biological algae protection. Phosphates, which serve as a nutrient for algae, are removed from the water by physical means and are safely accumulated and trapped. 

The filter cartridges can be inserted directly into the holders provided in the BioTec or ScreenMatic and can also be used in any other area with a good flow. Once the binding capacity is exhausted, the unwanted nutrients can be removed permanently from the pond ecosystem.

PhosLess cartridges can also be used without being inside a formal filter system, but they must be placed in an area with high water flow (e.g., a stream or watercourse) to function effectively. While designed to fit inside  OASE filters they can be placed in ponds with a good flow to capture phosphates. The cartridges work by binding phosphates physically, so flow is required to pass water through the cartridge.  If you do not have a dedicated OASE filter to insert the cartridges, place the cartridges in a strong, direct stream, waterfall, or watercourse to ensure water passes through the filter media.

Duration: For maximum effectiveness, the media should be replaced every 6-12 weeks.
